High Winds continue - Power outages being reported in Numerous areas

Have your flashlight ready, and don't go outside. The winds are whipping at a high speed, and in many towns, downed wires are creating power outages. Hurricane force winds are wreaking havoc in many areas of New Jersey and New York.

Authorities are warning people to stay inside; be sure outside furniture is secured since high winds can send them flying into windows or cars or roofs; to keep flashlights at the ready and to stay off the roads.

Trains and airports reporting long delays or cancellations.

With the Nor'Easter here until early tomorrow morning, it's best to stay put and wait it out.

In West Orange, a giant tree 40 feet high came down due to high winds and hit a home, causing massive damage.No one was injured.

Downed wires have caused NJ Transit and Amtrak disruptions.
