Join United Way of Northern New Jersey for our career coaching program which provides professionals with an opportunity to learn techniques for landing a new job. Job seekers meet one-on-one with our volunteer coaches for in-depth skill assessments, tips for pursuing alternative career options as well as résumé and interviewing critiques.

Joanne Bowman is a human resources professional with corporate and higher education experience. She has written an e-book titled, “Transition with Grace: A Job Search Guide.”

Bob Cate has spent his career in the publishing industry interviewing, hiring, training, and managing for Oxford Press, Dover Publications, and Greenwood Publishing.

Sean Cust is a real estate management professional with experience working both in the public and private sectors, currently in the pharmaceutical industry.

Matthew Frankel has worked as a Capitol Hill press secretary and led corporate communication departments for large media companies.

Laurie Kessler is a marketing, media, and entertainment professional, who is adept at assessing how candidates can best present themselves on paper and in person.

Judy Scherer is a career counselor who helps people transition mid-career. She has an expertise in emerging occupations and co-authored “The Geography of the App Economy,” cited by the White House for its analysis of 500,000+ jobs.

Kate Potters co-founded the executive search firm, Glenmont Group in 2001 and leading the firm’s senior-level professional management searches for all positions.
