Montclair Police Officers Elisa Arnaldy and Scott McGrath were honored with the 2017 Distinguished Service award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) at a ceremony held on Wednesday, June 14th at Rutgers University in New Brunswick.

The Montclair Police Department (MPD) Traffic Bureau nominated Officers Arnaldy and McGrath for the award, recognizing their staunch efforts toward keeping the roads safe from impaired drivers by making the most DWI arrests for the Department – Officer Arnaldy made 17 arrests and Officer McGrath made 6 out of the 48 total MPD DWI arrests in 2016.

Officers Vincent Russo and Garth Guthrie of the MPD Honor Guard participated in the ceremony during the presentation of colors.

MADD is an organization that works to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support victims and their families, and prevent underage drinking. Each year the MADD New Jersey Chapter honors the top-producing officers in the state for their outstanding enforcement efforts and distinguished service to their communities for saving lives by preventing crashes.
