Dance, drink artisan beers and enjoy fine foods all afternoon at Montclair’s Oktoberfest at Lackawanna Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 12 noon-8 pm. Presented by the Pig & Prince Restaurant and Montclair Center BID, the adult-focused event features more than a dozen local and traditional Oktoberfest style craft beers, gourmet food vendors and rocking music all day long on the Montclair Center Stage. Admission to this popular and anticipated event is free and open to all.

Music at the Oktoberfest will include performances by KIDS (Indie/Folk), SMOCK (alt/psychedelic), Julie’s Party (American roots), Pioneer the Eel (indie/art rock) and the Watchung Mountain Riders (rock and roll/jam).

“Everyone looks forward to Oktoberfest,” said Israel Cronk, executive director of the Montclair Center BID. “It’s one of the biggest parties of the year and we hope everyone comes out to enjoy the fall weather and all the festivities.”

Oktoberfest is made possible by the Montclair Center BID and the Pig & Prince restaurant. The event has been generously supported by Bella Arte Tattoo, Cool Cat Music Company and Corra.

FamilyFest will also be taking place in Montclair Center on Saturday, Sept. 22, in nearby Crane Park, located at Glenridge and Greenwood Avenues. The free family-friendly event will take place from 12-4pm and includes Montclair Center merchants, a scavenger hunt, face painting, games, and craft vendors.
