Michael LaCorte, a career Nutley Firefighter, has been busy lately, in order to honor 4 fallen fire fighters who died while on duty protecting Nutley.  A memorial that was in poor condition is now being revitalized and rebuilt, and will be proudly shown to the public in a ceremony on Memorial Day at 10:30 AM at 228 Chestnut Street, in front of the Nutley fire station.

“We are in the process of re-building the monument in the front of our firehouse which was a memorial for the 4 fireman that we had died in the line of duty,” noted LaCorte.  “We're hoping for a big turnout. I myself put a lot of time and effort into this and feel these men deserve the proper ceremony that they were never given.”

LaCorte invites everyone to this brief and moving moment, when the 4 Nutley heroes are honored. Please attend, and thank the 4 men who fought to keep Nutley residents safe and paid the ultimate sacrifice: their lives.
