Tuesday August 6 is Montclair's National Night Out

Posted

On Tuesday August 6, 2019, the Montclair Police Department will be taking part in the annual National Night Out. This event is recognized throughout the country as a way for members of the community to come out and spend a safe evening with emergency
personnel from their communities.

Citizens will get an opportunity to speak one on one with law enforcement officers from their cities, along with other emergency personnel.

Children will also get to see, up close and personal, all of the equipment their first responders utilize on a daily basis.
As we did last year, the Montclair Police Department along with their partners are going  to be holding National Night Out on South Park Street and Church Street, closing off  both roadways, and creating a safe environment for all those that choose to come out.
The event will be held from 5pm to 8pm.

Members of the Montclair Police Department, Montclair Fire Department, Montclair Ambulance Unit, and Montclair Animal Shelter will be on hand to speak with individuals and display their equipment. Safety brochures and other novelty items will also be available for all those interested. Local shops and vendors from throughout Montclair will also be set up with all sorts of activities and gifts for your family.
What made last year’s event and all the other events so successful were all the contributions made by members of the community and those that took part.
