Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that
the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the death of Shazina Chan, 31, of Montclair.
In a statement just released the prosecutor's office wrote:
The victim was found dead in her apartment. It appears to be a homicide but we are awaiting autopsy results.
Montclair Police Chief David Sabagh said, "The incident appears to be suspicious and is pending an autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of death. It appears the victim sustained trauma."
