The West Essex Woman's Club, in honor of Women's History Month, will present the "Women of Achievement Awards Ceremony" on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 pm at the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road.
Six local women will be honored for their volunteerism and outstanding community service. The honorees are: Jennifer Hawley (president of the Rotary Club of the Caldwells), Jacqueline Levine, Pamela Licht (coordinator of volunteers for Willing Hearts for the Rotary Club of the Caldwells), Harriet Schenk (vice president of the Friends of the West Caldwell Public Library), Barbara Spillane and Joanne Zascone. Minnie A. Lucey (1885-1930) a pioneer social worker and educator for Italian immigrants in Montclair during the early 1900s, will also be honored posthumously.
